Free Fire News: OB55 Patch, Booyah Pass and FFWS

Garena’s OB55 update is the major player-facing change for October: it brings back Naruto Shippuden content and changes Battle Royale events, weapons and devices. FFWS Global Finals is a separate esports event scheduled for Bangkok in November.

OB55 brings back Naruto Shippuden and changes match flow

Garena’s OB55 patch notes set the update release for 1 October. The returning Nine Tails event can alter a Battle Royale match before takeoff, open Bermuda Arsenals or leave a loot crater; players can also use returning ninjutsu and the Hidden Leaf Village map feature.

OB55 adds active and passive device categories, allowing one of each, adjusts airdrop timing and clarity, and introduces the M7, Skorp, RPK and Hawk weapon lineup in October. Garena also lists a full Kenta rework and Clash Squad weapon/economy changes. These changes make the patch notes more useful than old tier lists for loadout decisions.

Booyah Pass and OB55 player checklist

  • The official patch note does not publish a Booyah Pass reward track or expiry date. Open the in-game Booyah Pass page to verify the current season, missions, premium rewards and local pricing before purchasing.
  • Relearn Kenta’s reworked skill and try the new one-active/one-passive device combination in a low-stakes mode. For weapon practice, account for the new weapon recoil patterns rather than copying a pre-OB55 build unchanged.

FFWS Global Finals

  • Garena’s 2026 roadmap schedules the 24-team Global Finals in Bangkok beginning 6 November, across four November weekends.
  • The roadmap does not yet give a complete daily match timetable or final qualified team list. Follow the official event page for those announcements.
