Roblox News: The Hunt Roblox 20 and Showdown Cup
Roblox is a platform of creator-made experiences, so an event inside one game is not automatically a platform-wide tournament. This update separates Roblox’s anniversary event, Showdown’s in-experience cup and the fall game release slate.
The Hunt Roblox 20 ends; creator games continue to arrive
Roblox’s official newsroom scheduled The Hunt: Roblox 20 for 17–28 September. The platform-wide anniversary event sent players through games representing Roblox history, with quests, UGC rewards and a leaderboard. It has ended as of this update date.
Roblox also spotlighted Showdown’s first in-game Showdown Cup, hosted inside SuperGaming’s experience and its Esports Arena. Roblox’s fall preview listed Prime Heroes, Octane, Starforged and other experiences for October; availability can vary by release and region, so open each experience listing for its live status.
Robux, UGC rewards and experience-specific rules
- Check the event or experience page before spending Robux: creator-run passes, currencies, reward odds and end dates belong to that specific game, not the entire Roblox platform.
- The Hunt’s announced window is over. Avoid third-party pages claiming that expired event rewards remain claimable; use Roblox’s official event hub and the creator’s verified experience page.
Roblox competitive events
- Showdown Cup is an in-experience competition; Roblox’s newsroom does not describe it as a platform-wide professional league.
- Roblox’s September preview did not publish the cup’s exact dates, roster or prize details. Tournament rules should be checked inside Showdown.
Official sources checked
Is the Showdown Cup an official Roblox-wide tournament?
No. Roblox’s newsroom describes it as a tournament inside SuperGaming’s Showdown experience, not a platform-wide Roblox pro league.
Can players still join The Hunt: Roblox 20?
The official event window was 17–28 September 2026, so it had ended by 2 October. Check Roblox for any follow-up event or reward claim window.
